ZX Rear End Noise

I have changed the rear sub frame mounts and shock absorbers. I am still getting a slight clonk mainly at lower speeds and th e rear end seems very stiff and has a harsh ride.Does the exhaust system ever produce these sounds? Also what sort of sounds would I expect if the rear bearings on the cross beam torsiion bars were worn?

Is the exhaust touching now you've changed the bushes? Had a Rover 600 (bad memories) and it had new brakes lines fited on the back. it came back from the garage and every time over a bump 'BANG' went the exhaust. Had a look my self and one of the runner hangers was splitting. New rubber all OK except it still was a Rover 600 (the night mares still haunt me).
