Re: Xantia radio bracket

Post by admiral51 »

Sorry for the on the slant pics but i have a genuine series 2 radio but cannot seem to figure out what has been removed as i cannot find the bracket to which the radio fits.

The radio has 2 holes one each side but to me the existing bracket seems to have been modified/ knackered by someone else.

Any help appreciated

Edit ***** Have edited the last picture to show in green where i think the holes should be and in red where the bracket looks wrong

To put a standard ie non citroen unit in need a shroud that fills gap but not all the way round fan controls etc it is a bit bigger than unti sits in area where you have the wires round unit.
once take oe unit out of face plate

I have/did have one new one in packet but might have thrown out???

Mines for MK1 though not sure id same as mk2? but if have it your very welcome to it

Had a quick look on service box and think this is the part number i need 96118897ZL
Seems reasonably priced from citroen at a mere £90 :(

Actually that seems to be the one with a cover just need the bracket to hold the radio in place :-D

Well it depends on what it is - a little confusing as the part you have looked up is under the fascia panel section, item 5 here: This seems to be the stereo cover and is available here:

... and the radio bracket I have looked up is item 4 under the audio equipment section and is shown below, part number 96143066.

They seem to have some similar ones on Amazon France:

Sorry for the confusion, it is my age i think :)

The last picture is the bracket for fitting an aftermarket head unit, where as part #4 is the bracket for fitting an original head unit which is what i need
If #5 is the same as #4 but with a cover that would do the job.
Would i need #11 and #12 to go with #5 as i cannot see the bracket with the cover closed if that makes any sense. :?

To muddy the waters even more, i have a clarion flush fitting unit and something in my head tells me that the cover bracket was for the phillips head unit ?
