What a pile of "^!*$

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

This Lexia is.

Tried again today to get this poxy thing to work, spent an hour out there, it all shows up on the screen, click on the global but everything gets the same 'no connection' message.

Did all the stuff recommended in these threads, total waste of time.

Tried the other laptop with the Wurth WoW kit and it connects immediately and reads all the codes, I need some practice with that though because I've never used it before.

As you've no doubt experienced by now, it's rare for any two installations to go the same Gibbo!
  • Incompatible Laptop Hardware
  • If it's a reinstall - it won't work without fully uninstalling and fully cleaning the registry of all related entries.
  • Your VCI is faulty (no constant green light), pin / wire loose.
  • Wrong firmware for the software version / vehicle - what vehicle and year are you testing on? and what Diagbox version do you have installed?
  • What version of Windows and is it 32 or 64 bit?
  • Did you allow all the Firewall requests?
  • Has your VCI been blocked by PSA (at any time has it been connected tot he Internet?)
Just a few reasons - but it may just be that your laptop / notebook hardware is not compatible or you don't have the network card enabled or the BIOS settings correct.

Not a definitive list, but just a few pointers.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

I'm pretty sure I've been through all of that in the last couple of years and given up many times, it all appears ok, the laptop is a Panasonic Toughbook with Windows XP 32 bit, (tried it before on a Dell Inspiron with Win 7) nothing else on it but Diagbox v7.55

The car I'm trying it on is my 06 C511 VTR auto estate. The green light on the VCI is on...……. :?
