Identification of 206cc brace...

Post by ekjdm14 »

Hello again all, been a while since I've got online here but not a lot has changed, still have the grey 206 (back in rude health with a decent quality HG), Black Xantia and the Volvo but "White" has gone to meet her maker at last :| Plenty of useful parts kept though inc. door jamb for Black.

Anyway, to our newest family member. Blue 2003/53 206cc 1.6 Allure just purchased as a project, one of the things needed for MoT is a brace bar that bolts onto the underside between the driver's floorpan & front subframe but I can't for the life of me decide what it's called. Various searches have turned up nothing & the only ebay result I've had so far is for a used subframe complete with said bars for £70 which is a bit much.

Any help from someone with access to Servicebox/parts list would be much appreciated, cheers. Dan.

Never mind, registered myself with servicebox & it's "7213HG - Box reinforcement" and unsurprisingly NFP :(

Still, no harm asking a few stealers if they have one I guess. Other option is just make another one since it's hardly a complex piece. In fact I feel the car would barely notice if they were removed, let alone fail it's MoT on their corroded state.
