Re: Glovebox removal C5 2.2MK3 X7
These are the instructions that Marc very kindly sent me a couple of years ago.
I made some comments after the procedure as follows:
"First of all - the PDFs lie! The LHD and RHD procedures are NOT the same. Took me a while to figure out that the lid ram is not a mirror image of the LHD lid and I was wasting my time looking for it on the road side of the lid. It's on the right side of the lid although that didn't help me to unclip it.
"After I had taken the bottom hinge pins out I was able to lift the stay on the LH side out of the slot and then lower the lid (with the ram on the RH still in place) enough to undo the three screws along the bottom edge. Then I could manoeuvre the lid and glovebox out of the way. At that point the ram decided that it would unclip itself after all so I did end up with lid and box as separate items."

I did wonder whether you really needed to remove the glovebox to do that job. Did you read somewhere that it was necessary.

Its because I wanted to have a good look at the wiring underneath just to see if I can see anything wrong related to my EPS..ASR issue
