Citroen C5 HDI suspension problem

Unread post by fatherjack2002 »

Hi folks, the suspension on my C5 (03plate) has decided to drop to the lowest setting without any warning, theres no "STOP" sign on the dash, the fluids are ok, it hasnt affected the power steering or brakes, if i put it on high setting it doesnt respond ??
any suggestions ????
thanks in advance Paul

Sorry to hear that Paul. I'd guess that the pump motor has failed or a return valve is stuck open.

There's a fair amount of information here that might point you in the right direction.

Can you hear the pump run when you unlock the car or open a door?

Or the fuse has blown due to the motor overheating; caused by some fluid ingress and mixing with carbon from the brushes.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

I wonder if doing a BSi reset might be a good idea? That way you should be able to clear up any glitches. That way (all being well, and not a hidden problem) you can be sure the glitch shouldn't return.
