[V] AX help wanted. Car would not start following a 50 mile trip then standing for an hour. No fuel is getting to the engine (single point injection). I checked fuel pump connection, not getting any electrical power to connector. I replaced the ignition relay and ECU still no voltage to pump connection. Can't see that there is a seperate fuse for pump power. Disconnected fuel hose to injection unit and put some fuel into the hose through a bottle, car started and ran for a few seconds until the fuel was used up. So the fault has to be electrical power to the pump. Any hints.

APACHE87,
Hello mate, i have had a similar problem with an AX 1.0 Debut, (single point injection) The problem was no spark at the plugs and no power supply to the fuel pump. It turned out to be a broken wire between the ignition switch and the multi-plug on the static ignition coil, i think it was the thick blue wire. With this bypassed with a new length of wire it was fine. Hope this may be of some help.

Thanks to Rich for suggestion of faulty wire.
I spent about 2 hours checking out wires doing continuity checks etc, all checked out ok. about to give up and resort to towing it to a citroen main dealer when I took a sweet out of a bag in the glove compartment and noticed a very small switch at the back of the compartment, flicked switch and hey presto the fuel pump came on.
I must remember to tell the next owner if I sell it.
