Hello
My car is due for a service a 100K.
The engine is the 2.2 204bhp diesel unit.
Is the cam belt due at 100k or 150k?
What are the other items which are recommended to change at the same time?
Is there a step by step guide available?
Jack

Re: Cam belt
140k miiles Jack or 10 years whichever is soonest under 'Normal' conditions or 112.5k miles for 'Arduous' conditions.
I do recommend the complete kit which is not badly priced - water pump, tensioners and rollers as well as the belt. £207.37 for your 2.2 Engine, part number: 1613561880 for the complete kit inc. VAT which includes the lot.
Mine was £158 for the DW10BTED4 2.0 engine.

Re: Cam belt
The full timing belt replacement kit is something I leave to the dealer personally speaking of course Jack. It's too high risk to get wrong
Tools are the plugging kit, the flywheel setting rod, camshaft pulley setting peg, pinion centraliser, belt clamp and flywheel stop.
Dealer boot time is a tad under 4 hours for doing the complete kit inc. water pump. The do have fixed price servicing though for timing belts - which don't include the water pump by default - so if wanting that done make sure you tell them. Maybe worth a quote for comparison and mention fixed price repairs.

Thanks all
Marc, how do you get all the information from?
Citroen Service, Lexia?
I think it will have to be a dealer's job then.
Can you recommend someone around Oxford?

Re: Cam belt
I have a lot of documents that I purchased via subscription Jack. Especially for the X7.
