Job is not too bad, but they can be very tight in the hub as the thread cutting is not very accurate. One of the ones on my 307 took a LOT of torque to break it out, then it was very tight all the way out. The life of the wheel bearings and the ball joints seems to match at around 100k miles, so if the joint is gone, the wheel bearing is probably not far behind, so it might be worth doing both at the same time. I wouldn't try it on the car - I couldn't get the ball joint disengaged from the arm, there just isn't enough downward movement. Easier to strip it out, then 'just' lift the whole hub off, which allows you to get it in the vice to attack the joint. 35mm socket also needed for the drive shaft nut - some things PSA never change!!
