Hi all, i am new member but i was following here as guest. I am hoping to get some advice and input to the problem i have with my C5 1.6hdi 2006.
After changing crank shaft due to knocking, i could not start the car and i have the following fautls codes ;
PO193, PO402, PO201, PO202, PO203, PO204. Connections seem fine. could it be,
- Electrical problem, therefore should i look in the fuse box, are there any relays...etc.
- fuel pump timing, i found two diagrams for 1.6 hdi where pump timing are different.
Any suggestions would be great.
Cheers.

Re: C5 hdi codes help needed
Welcome!
What did you do to the engine? Drop it out, then drop the crank from the bottom and fit new, or did you completely strip it? Pump timing shouldn't matter on an HDi.
P0193 looks like fuel rail pressure high, P0201 - 4 look like injector fault codes, so they're probably linked. You would really need to get some live data to see what the ECU is seeing. e.g is it high rail pressure at key on, or only when cranking? Is the ECU seeing the engine rotating? Is it seeing cam and crank in synch?

Re: C5 hdi codes help needed
Thanks for quick reply, i removed engine from its bay, them worked from the bottom , head stayed on ..etc.
Unfortunately i do not have lexia, i just read the faults via android app. I guess i will need lexia to read live data.
You helped me rulle out timing, and that saves the hassle of rechecking. Cam and Crank are in line but there should be other codes if there was a problem.
The crankshaft is the same, and engine rotate fine until ecu shuts off.

Re: C5 hdi codes help needed
Yes i have looked at them, tahnks.
I haven't tried the easy start because it shuts off after few cranks, i guess it is to prevent any damage. The speed sensor disc came off the tming pulley when iremoved it, but i managed to fit it back.
Now my question is the timing on these engines is not on tdc , am i right ?
I was told that oem lexia dosen't work well on newer c5, mine is 2006 ?
Any ideas ?
