Rear Door of Estate stopped working

I have a 2005 C5 estate. The rear door (tailgate) has stopped working. I can open the Glass door and then reach in to unlock the door with a screwdriver. Can anyone tell me if the wiring loom is easy to replace or repair, or the approximate cost of dealer repair.

Check the wires inside the flexible conduit (top left) that extends from body to tailgate. I found several wires chewed up on mine, stopping the tailgate from opening and causing intermittent wiper operation. Some cutters/strippers, butt connectors and insulation tape might be all you need to sort it.
