Torque specs for Peugeot 405 knock sensor. Need help!

Unread post by LFY »

Hi everyone,

My brother owns a Peugeot 405 1.8i (XU7JP LFZ).

The knock sensor is faulty and should be replaced but I couldn't find the tightening torque in Haynes.

I know that following the exact torque number for knock sensor is important and has a significant effect on its performance.

Anyone here know the exact torque specs for the sensor? It is a Bosch type with green socket. Something like this:

You’ll need to post up your VIN and then I’ll be able to get the correct torque for you.

I don't have access to the aforementioned data but it seems that tightening torque for the knock sensor is 20 nm. I searched a lot and found this number.

I would need this as there are several 1.8 engines and several 405s, so I would need that if you want clarification.
