Flip, that's a lot of telephones.

I have a push-button LD Trimphone which we used to use until the carbon granule microphone insert became just too noisy. I was given a ceramic insert to replace this but unfortunately lost it and never got another and so had to take it out of service. I thought it was pretty rare model but he has eight of them!
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

You will be familiar with the "trimphone warbler" then as reproduced for nostalgic purposes on the site :-D

Couldn't find it immediately on the site, but one of the "fun" services you used to be able to access from your telephone was dial-a-disc

It made it into the "Notices What have you Spotted" thread with this little gem
Image

Want to hear hit music? (of course we do!) Call Dial-a-Disc. Two different hit records (really a whole 2 records wow! and they are not the same record either) are played each night from 6 pm to 8 am Monday to Friday. Five different records are played on Saturday an Sunday (except during Test Matches and certain other cricket matches when records are restricted to 7pm to 8am) (party on....except during a cricket match of course)

Used to love Dial-A-Disc :D I have fond memories of groups of us youngsters all piling into a telephone kiosk to listen to the disc of the day :D

Happy days 💛
