More from my photo box. Found this in a dire state in a pub car park by Gloucester. It was white at the time.

Ps. The car in the background is a Vanden Plas Princess 1300 with the sub-frame out to rebuild the rusted out floor.

You must have done a good job on it Gibbo, still road legal to this day but the DVLA still think its white!

I'm not surprised Neil and it's two years older than the registration mark on it suggests as it had been re-registered when the first owner took off his private plate.

Not so fussy about age related Nos: then.

I had a "C" reg '63 Beetle because it was re-registered in Northampton, which had never issued "A" & "B" prefixes.

I went to have a look at a NAS XJC but had reservations about it. Went to a Frenchman who had no such qualms, virtually bought it unseen, came over - & drove it home.
