C2 drivers door lock solonoid?

Post by Timmo »

hey guys, my newly aquired C2 has decided it now wants to constantly tell me the drivers doors open, thus no locking on the remote and flashy lights on the display, do you know if they are stripable down and cleanable up?? or are they just straight replacements?? are they the same as the C3 or any other psa?? not too bad an issue as the door shuts fine and i have turned the interior light off for now, i never used to lock the xantia anyway so getting back in the habbit is a little odd.... ;-)

If its the same as a pug 306, the door sensor is part/in of the door lock mechanism, hopefully some one much more knowledgeable we be on in a moment

Unfortunately there's 3 different types...
01

9135 P9

01
FRONT DOOR LOCK
LEFT
- LEFT HAND DRIVE AND SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING
link to corresponding labour times
01
LEFT
- RIGHT HAND DRIVE AND WITHOUT REMOTE CONTROL AND SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING
9135 Q0
01
LEFT
- CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING
link to corresponding labour times
9136 Q6
01
RIGHT
- WITHOUT REMOTE CONTROL AND SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING
link to corresponding labour times
9136 Q7
01
RIGHT
- LEFT HAND DRIVE AND REMOTE CONTROL ASSEMBLY AND SIMPLE CENTRAL LOCKING
link to corresponding labour times
9136 Q8
01
RIGHT
- CENTRAL DEAD LOCKING

Need VIN to confirm which is fitted. The first one is C2 only which suggests the others will be the same.... I would expect the switch for the door open warning to be in the lock. It may be amenable to some WD-40 or equivalent, and then operating it lots of times. Here's one on e-bay - doesn't look terribly well arranged to being opened!

Vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
I Nipped up the yard in the village as they had a c2 enterprise, bit of research revealed remote locking, so that's now fitted and no more door open warnings! Locks fine but doesn't unlock the door, and on second fiddle managed to knock the door handle spring and now the door doesn't open from the handle, So have given up to come and cook tea! Will pop out and sort the handle later, not worried about the locking for now,

A couple of small metal tabs bent up and the case is only plastic clips to get to the inside, all crammed in there, will grab some pictures when next out there,
