C8 washer hose diameter

Instead of a clean windscreen, I have en exciting water feature cleaning the underside of my drivers side headlight.

I'm guessing that either a hose or connector has broken, but I don't want to dismantle anything until without having a supply of cheap spares for whatever it might be. Does anyone know what diameter(s) hoses I should buy? Eurocarparts sell 1/8" and 1/16", while halfrauds have 3.2mm or 2.4mm. It's cheap stuff, so I don't mind buying a couple of sizes and connectors if that's what I need, but I'd rather narrow it down first.

If it's the same as the C5 the genuine Citroen stuff is rubber, 4 mm inside and 7.5 mm outside.

I was lucky with mine, the Citroen storeman pulled a coil of it from under the counter told me to cut of however much I needed and gave it to me free gratis.

It may be a part of the hose that has come off or split - but then again it could be the pump or pump seal leaking - so you really need to get some idea first of all as to cause.

The lower part of the washer pipe is number 11 below and is part 643947 and is 4mm x 8mm.

By the way it's shooting upwards, I'm sure the pump is fine. I expect the hose has either come off or split.

Thanks for the diagram, but I'm not sure what you mean by 4mm x 8mm? Does it start at 8mm and reduce to 4mm? Is part #14 a reducer?

I think that the 4mm x 8mm is the inside x outside diameter of the pipe, and i believe part #14 is just a joiner, as is #15 which appears more to be a T piece allowing the pipe to be split into 2 directions.

Just re read and looked at the diagram, i think the pipe has come away from the pump itself or split between it and #14. Believe you can get joiners like #14 to repair a split pipe rather than replace the whole bit

Yes those are unions - one a T piece and one a simple join. Correct about the sizing 4 x 8 is what the tubes are.

Thanks, I'll get some 4mm hose and start battling through the wheelarch.
