Did something happen overnight?

Unread post by Paul-R »

I thought I made a post yesterday evening but it wasn't there this morning. Was there a restore from a backup overnight? Or was it all my own fault and I closed the window down instead of posting the comment!
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

No maintenance was done in the past 24 hours and no known issues (well maybe an occasional problem with post notifications, but that has been happening occasionally for ages).

It was the thread Lights! (Interesting and Awful please). I remade roughly the same post this morning and it's at the top of this page.

This is the one from last night, read it last night and it’s there now, in addition to the one added this morning.

That is bit bizzare, at the time when the post was apparrently missing, was there a later post shown on the same page where the missing post should have been (just trying to eliminate a pagination issue).

OK, it must have been me. Can one of the Mods delete the, now superfluous, second post please?

And don't say all my posts are superfluous...

Because there have been other posts made since, so you can't delete it. We can just leave it as is unless really essential as it might muck up the thread now.
