Hello to all. It's my first post so hopefully I'm in the right section
My heater blower was only working on full blast and was told I needed a new heater blower resistor. After examination, the wiring loom to the resistor was also blown.
I bought one from ebay (could be the problem) and thought I could just match up the wires but the wiring seems to be different.
Can anyone lend any knowledge?
I'll upload some pictures
Thanks, Mark

Re: Citroen Relay Blower
Can you pop up your VIN for me (it will be automatically hidden from public view) so I can check the wiring diagrams, then i might be able to help.

Re: Citroen Relay Blower
Ok, so this is all I have for the wiring:
Click Diagram to Zoom
So the Blower Motor Resistor has 4 wires shown , but it is the Blower Motor itself that has 5 wires.
Click Diagram to Zoom
8050: blower motor (if separate) 8040: blower speed control (if separate) 3051: heater control panel lamp 8046: blower motor resistor (if separated) |

Re: Citroen Relay Blower
Thanks for that Marc but to be honest I'm not really any more the wiser. Going by my pics I was hoping to just cut the wires and crimp in the new loom. Exactly the same black casing on my new one as the old, just the extra wire I cant figure out.
Cheers

Re: Citroen Relay Blower
In the van there's a separate live and neutral which plug straight onto the actual blower motor itself

Re: Citroen Relay Blower
Ok, so look at item 8050 - that is the actual blower motor and that has 2 wires. 78 goes to the Engine compartment fusebox. 67 goes to the blower speed control (8040) - wire (59) and also intersects the blower motor resistor (8046) at wire (58). Unfortunately the colours are not always reliable and there are none listed as you can see - so I can't help with the connections beyond this.
Also the added problem is that the 2-digit wiring numbers shown have no description even on the official diagram which is usless. Normally they would indicate which wire does what.
