Re: Abs light
What are you trying to interrogate it with? A simple code scanner might not cut it - it needs to go on Diagbox. If the light is on, then there should be a fault - unless the ECU has completly turned its toes up, in which case there might be no comms!!

Yes - you need it on Lexia to get the fault code.

Re: Abs light
I'm no expert and have very very little experience on these cars........if its the pug 306 type abs sensor, the "blade" type sensing externally onto the castleated ring on the cv joint , they are a bit more simple ( and reliable ) compared to the internal sensing on the rubber ring inside the bearing, a bloody night mare.
Which type do you have and has any work been done on the brakes recently??
You have a reasonably good dmm?? if not they do not need to be mega expensive, no more than £20 or so unless you have money to burn and get one with a scope, or better still a good scope......
ask santa for an early gift, a £25 ish dmm. they will pay for themselves in no time.
