I have now had the message "Engine management system faulty" (together with speed limitation and cruise control) at high revs several times. It hasn't stalled or gone into limp mode, but stays for 3 or 4 start ups.
Diagbox says it is P1623 Engine torque given *1. I did mention it once befor on my VTS blog, but no reply to it.
Any ideas?

Re: P1623 Engine torque given
No detailed explanation of this code I'm afraid - we know it is Powertrain related, Manufacturer-Specific, is related to an ECU - but as for the last part - noting more than what you have mentioned.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Thanks for the information on that. Today the error has gone and hasn't come back and I've deliberately revved to the red line, however at least once the rev counter just would not go red as it should even though the engine was bouncing off the limiter, could this be related?
