Hello Forum
I have a 2011 C4 Grand Picasso VTR+ HDI.
Several times in the last 2 weeks my C4 GP's dashboard has gone into a 'Alert' mode for a few minutes telling me the handbrake is faulty, the car needs a service, Airbags are not working and the generally the sky is about to fall-in etc etc.
But the car continues to drive perfectly normally and the warnings clear themselves.
I installed a new battery (a Platinum Prestige Plus 12V Car Battery 75Ah/720A CCA 096SPPLA) about a month ago but have double-checked it is a suitable battery.
Given that none of the errors are persistently shown and clear themselves I am inclined to think that its an electrical/software fault.
Do you have any suggestions for how to proceed?
Many Thanks.

Re: Dashboard goes into a 'Alert' mode
Welcome along!
You really need to get some diagnostics on it, as you can't poke and hope. somewhere there's a thread with members who have a Lexia that might interrogate it. I will say however, that if the EGR is playing up, the first thing that happens is you get handbrake and ESP failure - but no engine warning! Genius bit of programming that, which I spent ages trying to fathom on ours!!

Did you wait 5 - 10 minutes before removing the old battery?

Re: Dashboard goes into a 'Alert' mode
Yes, I was going to suggest the battery reconnection procedure be followed to rule out reconnection gremlins.
