Newbie 207 SW Aux, temp gauge issues

Unread post by Rab »

Hi all,

Newbie to the forum, Peugeot’s & french cars in general.

Recently purchased a 2008 207 SW 1.4vti S 95hp & I have a few questions.

1. Car has the standard RD40 headunit and I really want an Aux input. Understand that it can be retro fitted with some leads on ebay or connect2 but it requires the headunit to be reprogrammed???

So whats the best solution and how do I go about getting the headunit reprogrammed??

2. Temp gauges have sacked it both coolant and the oil temp. Now it happened at the same time and they have moved a little from time to time so I assume the issue is connected?

Coolant temp sensor is and easy fix but that doesn’t explain the oil temp?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You’ll probably need the RD45 unit if you have the standard RD4. The RD45 has Bluetooth built in and can have USB enabled / AUX. You may also need the revision c screen if not already fitted.

You’ll need somebody with a Peugeot Planet 2000 diagnostic tool to code the new head unit to your car and screen and then the options.

Pop up your VIN and I’ll see what you have.

As for your other issues , rare for both to go..... I would get it on the aforementioned diagnostic kit to find out what’s going on before you start replacing parts.

Hmm, the videos and stuff I’ve seen show the headunit I have but I obviously don’t know. Be nice if was an easy fit.

Getting someone with PP2000 wont be easy.

Both gauges kinda work for time to time, would pp2000 be able to reset the gauges??
