Rev counter jumps about

Post by Paul Thomas »

Since my water change on the weekend my rev counter is vert erratic, jumping around all over the place, from bottom to top of the scale even when maintaining a constant speed.
I presume I have got water onto a contact/connection somwehere, where abouts is the sensor mounted ?
Any other suggestions ?

Aah !
That sounds like a cable I had to put new connectors on a couple of years ago as they were so badly corroded. In which case it is directly below the thermostat which I changed at the weekend.
I probably soaked it at the time !
I'll take a look and dry it out.
Thanks
