Welsh Citroen Specialists?

Unread post by markysimon »

Recent problems with the rough ride in my S2 V6 XM were not resolved by fitting six new spheres by my local, non-specialist mechanic. :( So I now need to get the car sorted by someone who knows these cars, but I can't find anyone anywhere in Mid-Wales or the Welsh Marches who does. I'm willing to travel any reasonable distance, so can anyone suggest anyone reliable? (NB, the Citroen Car Club, of which I'm a member, have a specialists register but it seems not to be operating!).

I've been involved with helping Mark via Club-XM forum.
All spheres are now new, and correctly positioned, and system properly bled.
Next step is to have a knowledgeable hands-on assessment of the car.
There appear to be no Lexia's in Wales, according to the list here #-o except for Paul (citroenxm) in Anglesey.
Suspension electrovalves (and diodes) are likely the next suspect, and probably an idea to fit some EV tell-tale LEDs, so investigation is more conclusive.
Mark would need some help with all this.

Chris has indeed been very helpful but as he points out, further diagnosis requires 'hands-on' advice and access to a Lexia. I have, at his suggestion, emailed Paul in Anglesey (80–90 miles from me), but as yet had no reply.

I note Chris refers to a "list here" of Lexias in Wales, but which list is he referring to as I can't locate it? As I said earlier, I don't mind traveling anywhere within reason – I'm on the Powys/Herefordshire/Shropshire border – if it gets the job done!

Mark, here is the list - right at the bottom of the list is a link to Google Maps that lists all the locations on the map of members on the list:

Thanks very much Marc – and I see an embarrassment of riches… two Lexia owners in Telford, i.e. within an hour or so's drive from me!

Will pursue accordingly.

Mark, just be aware that not all the members are active here all the time - we do ask people to let us know if they are able to provide support or not - but you know how it is... :)

Not in Wales but close. :) This is a family business that's been all about Citroen for many many years, I'm not sure about their recent set up re older cars but...….

Thanks to you all, and I'll give Wyvern a call in the morning and see if they have a Lexia

Carter's cars in Cannock? He's been working with Cits since he was a kid with full Diags. He's not any longer a kid
