Just a guick question on oil change on a C5:
Based on your experience, would you change oil dynamically or statically?
Dynamically requires a professional garage hence can be a lot more expensive than static change in my own private garage.
Is it worth paying more?

Re: Al4 transmission oil change
Are you referring to a gearbox oil flush compared to a drain-and refill method?
I'm no expert on the AL4 but from what I know about the AM6 there is a very particular grade of oil that is required that any garage flushing machine will probably not have. For piece of mind it's probably better to get hold of your own replacement ATF and perform the multiple drain and refill procedure.
If you search the forum someone recently did this and a guide was posted.

Re: Al4 transmission oil change
Exactly the case.
Mine is not a new one and I heard some opinions that a complete oil flush via machine might result in some "good residue" reduction (just as is the case with high milage old car engines).
Just want to avoid unneccesary hassle. Sometimes being overzealuous is dangerous.
Mine is 160k miles second hand.

Re: Al4 transmission oil change
I'd drain it , measure what comes out, and put in the same amount of fresh. Do the same in 6 or 12 months, whichever you prefer. Eventually you'll have done a complete change. If it's working ok now, I don't see the point in upsetting it too much. AL4s are pretty hardy.
