Handbrake binding...
...on my Xantia 1.9D. Ive had a look at the caliper end and tried manually to free off the crank that operates the handbrake by working it to & fro. But not much success - anyone offer any advice about how to cure this problem?

A fine schematic view on the front caliper is found here :

Shane (doublechevron) has been in detailed talks with his BX front caliper :

YES - I know - all about BX - but same construction on the Xantia with slightly different dimensions here & there.
Recommand you find a breaker's unit (set) and start there.
