DW10BTED4 Crank Position Pulse Sensor

Post by EDC5 »

Over the last thousand miles or so I have, once or twice, experienced a split second loss of power.

Lexia has given me code P0338; this points to the Crankshaft position sensor.

On servicebox, the part is described as Speed Sensor, part number 1920GJ

When I removed the LDS pump I caught a glimpse of the sensor currently fitted to my car:

It looks like it's pretty easy to replace.

The only issue is where to source the replacement. Citroen will want £42 for it.

I have had a quick look on mister auto and there are a few different makes (and prices) on there: https://www.mister-auto.co.uk/sensor-cr ... _g833.html

I should be OK with any from that list. I'm leaning towards the Febi one for around £20 as they are a reputable OEM manufacturer and around half of the price.

Has anyone replaced this sensor before and if so which one did you use and were there any difficulties?
