Hi from Spain!

Just joined up.....I'm a Brit (Welsh) that's been in Southern Spain for 13 years! I'm not on the Costas....I'm 3000 ft up in the mountains of rural Granada.

I've got a 2006 Xsara Picasso 1.6 HDI 90.....110K kms / 68K miles!

Stunning condition......not a spot of rust! Rust doesn't exist in the dry air we get up in the mountains.

We're originally from Swansea.....but we left there 30 years ago!

Lived for a few years in Carmarthen in the 90's......never seen so much rain and mist in my life!

Yeh....I know it.

We liked Carmarthen......nice and quiet!

But as soon as we spoke in any of the supermarkets we'd get store detectives following us!

They were paranoid about Jacks! If we spoke in a car park they'd run to their cars and wouldn't leave them till we'd gone!

The Law stopped me a few times and as soon as I spoke they kept me there about 20 minutes doing checks!

And here's a pic of where I live! And you've probably never seen a photo like it taken in Spain! We've seem extremes from -20 to +46.

Come on XTreme/Marc the thread "What do you know about Wales?" has hit the doldrums and needs some joiners-in. Could do with a bit of banter explanation for the rest of us....how about a doggy tale from the 1930's to start it off!

It's what other Welsh call people from Swansea!

And there's always been a lot of heat between Swansea and Cardiff......this has happened to me many times!
