creaky steering. on T

T passed her MOT last week after being laid up for almost 2 years. I thought I'd have a lot more problems and was surprised to be honest after hearing all the horror stories of the new MOT. Having driven her for about 100 miles since I can hear a creaking when turning the steering wheel. I haven't been able to ascertain whether it's the steering rack or the strut tops. Has anyone else experienced this. I'm guessing it's due to the long period of inactivity. Strangely enough she has the best ride of all 3 Xantias. But I have to be careful not to push her too hard as the 195 tyres don't feel as good as the 205s on the other 2 but perhaps it's the 195s that are giving the better ride?
