C4 cat flexi repair?

Unread post by moizeau »

Just had a strange one yesterday, exhaust started blowing a bit, then more and more whilst my son was learning basic clutch control on the drive. Had a look underneath this morning and the exhaust has broken off where it clamps to the manifold. It looks like a 'flexi'. The rest of the system looks brand new! Is there such thing as a repair section? I could do without putting a complete new cat on.
One other thing, do the two sensors either side of the cat just unscrew?
Thanks
Pete

Year, Engine Code or better still VIN? There are different systems.

There are a few on here. The one on my wifes 206 rusted through at the other end, tried to weld it but had to get a new cat eventually.

Moiz C4 A.PNG
(13) is the fixing Clamp (Diameter 74.5), Part 171369 (Price £7.82 inc VAT from dealer)
(11) is part 1731GY or Replacement Part 9805707980.
So no separate parts as you can see on the original. Just the 'Ring type' bracket that holds the 2 raised collars of each part of the system together.

Cheers for the info. I found this https://www.24piecesauto.fr/7703126-ebe ... chappement and this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BM-Premium-E ... 23a1bf81fd
I'm going to have a go at welding the lip back on, nothing to lose apart from a bit of wire and gas. If it doesn't work I'll go for the complete system at that price.
Thanks again
