I don't understand how Peugeot can be rated at No 8 yet Citroen are in 21st place when they are almost the same vehicle.

Re: Reliability surveys.
These will no doubt be based on peoples' personal experiences - and although the platforms, engines and technology are identical, it can't account for the different vehicle interiors or the customer service elements from the different dealerships perhaps.
I'm glad to note that Audi and BMW are trailing miserably at the bottom - mostly as the impact of all the fancy technology inevitably fails - the more you pack in, the more to go wrong.

Re: Reliability surveys.
Funny that the VAG group is spread across the list too.
I generally take these with a pinch of salt when they don't take into consideration the average spent on repairs. As some brands may be more reliable but when it comes to fixing the problems they usually are more expensive.

Re: Reliability surveys.
All these surveys do is provide irrefutable evidence that ALL new cars are unutterable rubbish.
If it was anything else that developed problems in the 1st 5, poosibly 10, years - never mind one, we'd take it back & demand a replacement or our money back.
I have a higher expectation of, & generally been rewarded by, every car I've bought (& I still flinch if the price is in 4 digits) than so many people have of cars costing 20, 50 - 100 time as much.
