C5 HDI engine management fault ?

Hi folks, just throwing out a quick question here, weve got a C5 HDI on a 03plate, on a regular (ish) basis the car goes into "limp mode" this shows up as a beep from the dash followed by the engine manaement light coming on, this can happen anywhere between a 300 mile trip and a trip to the local shops !!
Switching off the ignition for 30 seconds or so seems to reset the problem, any ideas ?????

Well, on my 04 reg C5 HDi there was a tiny pinhole leak in in a rubber pipe going to the EGR. When Michel took a look (he was going to try unplugging said pipe to see what would happen) and found the pinhole (about 1cm from the end) he trimmed said pipe back and connected it back up. Although mine never went into limp mode I would get the EML and a pollution type warning. After the fix it has not happened since.

Paul, this could be 101 things, so really needs hooking up to a Lexia yo get the fault codes off.

What is the VIN, so we know exactly what is fitted?
