Not a French car but my Mum's Corsa seems to have a 'damp' gearbox:
It's a 2009 'D' Corsa 1.2i
Not easy to see but the entire of the gearbox seems to covered in a misting of oil. It's not been dripping or anything but has a later of dust on top of the oil.
Gear selector turret:
Any suggestions? I'm not sure how a leak could coat the entire box in oil so evenly!
Not French, Corsa gearbox oil leak?

Re: Not French, Corsa gearbox oil leak?
Part of my "fleet" consists of 2 corsas, and co-incidentally minutes ago I posted up a poser on a cracked timing chain cover!
The oil pressure switch is at the wrong side of the engine, but for early corsa's this was a noted weak point and would dump a fair quantity of oil all over the place if it failed. Not sure where this is located on your 2009 version.
Thread on Corsa Sport "oil leak on top of gearbox" probably not that helpful

Thanks for that, I'll check that sensor out. I'll have to do some reading on these engines as I know very little about them
Just amazed at how small the actual gearbox is, truly a miniature engine and gearbox, looks lost in the body of the Corsa D.
