ZX 2.0 8 valve Fule Gauge Flicker

Hi,
I am having a problem with the fuel gauge of my ZX 2.0 8-valve flickering. When I fill up to full tank, the needle indicates full correctly but it flickers incessantly. Is this a common problem?
