307 HDI now speaking french!

After sorting out the black death from the two centre injectors, and the air leaks from the leakoff pipes, I disconnected the battery for an hour, after a short session with the priming bulb it started well, and drives properly, a short ten minute stop and no start again, squeezing the primer did nothing, the display language is now in French! and it mentions "Antivol" moving the key away from the car and then presenting it again and she runs so I suspect the immobiliser is playing up, can anyone shed any light ?

PP2000 / Diagbox - really is needed to ascertain what is going, but have you replaced any parts recently with second hand ones - especially the head unit or screen? You very likely have a parameter configuration issue at the least.

Mine always used to go native after the battery was off. Think you just press the menu button in the radio then down button till you see the languages. Get it back in English, them see what it's upset about.

Right! its speaking English again, its telling me that the antitheft is faulty, nothing has been replaced apart from injector seals and leakoff pipes, anyone have experience of this, I will see if theres another key.

Cleaned the key, tried the spare one, now they both work ! thanks to all contributors.
