Post by kiwifrog »

My mk1 Xantia is stranded on the other side of town with a dead battery, daughter borrowed it , long story....Anyway , I going to pick up a new battery on the way over there, but I need to know the physical size of it, the terminal configuration and CCA if posible as parts guys here stare at you blank when you say Citroen Xantia.

According to the Yuasa catalogue, the Xantia battery for the 2.0i is "L2 DIN" casing with standard terminal posts, 55Ah, 550 CCA, 243x175x190mm

Yes - my battery supplier confirms those sizes however, they quote 590CCA and 63AH. The battery code is 027

The OP has a TD Xantia according to his profile so I'd have thought 590CCA and 63AH was correct for diesel engine and heavy current glow plugs.

The battery spec for the 2.0i Petrol engine wouldn't be so meaty.
