C5 2005 issues after heater flaps change

Hi

I need some advise here.
After installing the new heater flaps and assebling everything again, I experience the problem that there is fukl heat and the blower constantly a gentle supply of hot air through the floor nozzles.

All settings i made at the climate control panel are shown correctly at the display, but nothing happens, no matter which setting I try to regulate, temperature, nozzle selector or fan speed.

The blower continues to supply a steady gentle stream of hot air.

Will a BSi reset help?

Where to look, what to do? I'm a little lost here...

Hi Larsen and velkommen.

Are you sure you have connected ALL the connectors correctly back to the Climate Control panel? Normally with issues related to the air mixture, cold / hot levels or the fan speed for example, can be down to the gear reduction motors, heating resistance, or the actual blower. But as you are not getting fan speed or air distribution variations, it would seem to point towards an electrical connector not put back on properly, or the climate control panel itself.

Did you disconnect the battery prior to undertaking the work? Given the sensitive nature of some of the electrical components, this is recommended as it can prevent issues occurring later.

Double check the fuse, and try a BSI reset - they are free and easy to do as a first step, but ensure you fully allow the BSI to sleep first and leave it for a little longer before reconnecting up.

Yes the battery was completely disconnected during the whole day.

I'll check the fuse(S) and take the climate control panel panel out and check the connectors and see if they are the cause.

Check my thread, I had the same issue. Turned out the guy who did the job forgot to screw the plastic cover over the heater matrix. Could be very likely your problem. Please check.

It works!

I, apparently, forgot to lock the black connector to the clima control panel. I took the panel out this morning, and the black plug fell off.
