which alternator to choose in diagbox

Hi, does somebody knows anything about alternator types in diagbox? Which one to choose for c5 x7 140 fap? There is option to choose standard for non euro5 models. My is euro5 and whichever I choose, i get the alternator deffect warning?

What is the error fault code you are getting in Diagbox? Have you replaced the alternator lately and have you made any other changes in Diagbox?

If you have changed the alternator, have you got the correct one (please specify the make and model number of the replacement you have if relevant). This might help further.

So your car is fitted with the ALTERNATOR CLASS 18 180 AMP.
Was there a reason why you needed to change the type? Was / is there a fault code being shown and is this in the global test or when you tried to change the value?

I don't wont to change alternator. In diagbox there is option to chose alternator type. There is remark only for non euro 5 wehicles must be "standard" choosen. For euro 5 wehicles must be one of follows: self primed, piloted, alternator-starter, or controlled (generation2). Which of theese four is my? I have standard now and euro5 wehicle. If i choose any other type i got error on car display alternator deffect.

I'll have to go and connect mine up as it is the same vehicle to see what mine says - but it won't be 'alternator-starter' as that is for the STOP START system.

Ok, so I've been out and checked - see printout extract below. Mine is set as 'Standard'. It's a 180 Amp model but I can't tell you the brand as it is still the original without looking (and it's raining here - again ).

Thanks, it seems everything is ok. I have voltage oscilations in idle after turning ignition on. I seems it's time for cleaning dust from my labscope. One more time thank you very much for your assistence.
