C5 Windscreen

Post by friarpat46 »

The rubber seals around the windscreen of my 2007 C5 are starting to lift. Can I just glue them or what's the correct solution stop water ingress.

The windscreen is actually bonded to the body - and shouldn't leak as they use quite a wide bead of mastic for the job.

What you may be referring to is the trim that goes across the top and down the sides - that isn't bonded and just clips on - it's just trim.

The last bit at the bottom is the air intake grille seal - that's not supposed to be glued on - it's just a flexible rubber seal.

If it's that - and you are concerned about it, a new one from Citroen is £37 inclusive.

Thanks for that. Its the trim down the side which is lifting. If only trim I'll leave it, if it doesn't clip back
