Hi,
Can anyone guide me how to access the A/C blower? It is making a huge amount of funny noises and maybe needs cleaning or maintenance of some kind. I have also an issue with the air vents since the one one the passanger's side is always blowing cold air, how can I repair this?
Thanks,
Joseph

We'll need your VIN to determine the AC / Climate system and your options first.
If you are only getting cold air on one side, then this is likely to be the air mix stepper motor gearing that has worn. But I'll need to check once I have your VIN. Depending on the noises you may just have a load of crud that has got into the air intake system from the grille where the wipers are and that can get into and clog the system - You may also have a pollen filter and I would aslo ask when that was changed - if you haven't, then be prepared for a lot of bugs and crap to come out of that too.

First step for me would be the pollen filter as well. Cold or hot air when not wanted is likely to be the stepper motor cogs as Marc says. They sometimes reset when you play around with the temperature and cabin settings but it's not a permanent fix.
We're assuming that your car has the automatic Climate Control fitted rather than the basic aircon. The permanent hot/cold air is usually symptomatic of this. I've not heard of the basic aircon going wrong in this manner.

Ok, so you have the automatic air conditioning system. Looking at the diagram below you can see the gear reduction motors referenced as part number 2. There are 3 of these, which operate collectively to ensure the right temperature is maintained throughout the vehicle.
