Berlingo 2 Pollen Filter...

Post by RussellF97 »

My son has just sent me this piece from (probably) Car Mechanics magazine. Because I will probably be getting myself a new-to-me Berlingo Multispace 1.9D (somewhere around 06-09 reg) in the fairly near future, the question arises, how easy are the usual servicing tasks; i.e., changing the oil, air, fuel & pollen filters?

They're a piece of cake to work on, though you'll only have a pollen filter if you get one with air-con. It's a 5 min job to change as it's in the passenger footwell behind the glovebox. You don't need to remove anything other than a couple of fasteners that let the carpet drop down, and a single phillips screw which holds the pollen filter in it's box. I don't think they ever made a 1.9 with Air Con though. You'd be better off with a 2.0HDi Berlingo of that age. I loved mine, had it for nearly 8 years. It never failed on me.

Thanks for that Michel. After 30-odd years of fixing cars though, I've just about reached the stage in life where I'd much rather pay someone else to do the servicing and fixing..!

Mk3 Berlingo pollen filter is tricky, but the Mk2 is a piece of cake, as said .
