2010 C4 Electronic Parking Brake Wiring Schematic

Post by Dieseljimmer »

Hi All,
I'm tracing a fault through on the non operation of the EPB on a 2010 C4 Picasso. Can anybody help me with a wiring schematic for the system?

Many thanks in advance
Jim

Hi Jim and welcome.

PM or Post your VIN and I'll dig one up for you.

Do you have any fault codes too?

Hi Marc,
Thanks for the prompt response.
I'll get the VIN across to you as soon as I can.

Brief Overview; Car left idle for a couple of weeks, apart from the odd starting, on the last occasion it was started fault up with the EPB and no engagement of the parking brake. A number of fault codes present about the place, difficult to know which were present before this particular problem?
Cleared all the faults using Delphi diagnostic software and the EPB became active with the exception of the manual switch on the fascia. Road tested and EPB all functioning correctly but unable to manually engage PB. Did have the "P" illuminated on the manual switch but when used would immediately cause a fault with the EPB system.

I have read numerous posts on the subject of EPB faults, battery, EGR, I have had "economy mode active" up on the fascia and now understand what it relates to, battery voltage. Whilst settling for the EPB operation without a manual switch the BSI and glove box area was rebuilt. After rebuild the system was tested and found to have completely stopped working, fault code in the EPB ECU; 562, power supply, insufficient voltage. No other fault codes present.

If I had a wiring diagram I could follow the wiring and check inputs and output, I have the add on with the Delphi software of a a 4 channel Pico scope so can confirm outputs at the various pins once identified.

Hope the above makes senses?

Cheers
Jim

Ideally Diagbox is better as it has proprietary PSA data, but do you have any specific fault codes as this will help in potentially identifying problem areas.

Also from what you say regarding the BSI, was it replaced, but more importantly was it reconfigured and was the configuration undertaken with the correct options? If not, you may have many problems if the BSI is not checked for the correct parameters and ECUs appropriate for your specific vehicle.
