Hi,
I got my front suspension refreshed a few months ago and I've noticed that the front near side shock absorber appears to be loose. There is a rattle /knocking noise at slow speed over small bumps in the road surface.
I can twist the plate covering the STM and it rocks minutely.
Is there any thing special to do in order to toughen this up? I tried tightening the but holding the shock into the STM but there was no effect - is there something I need to lock first to stop it spinning?
Thanks.

Re: Loose STM
Strut top mount - title is wrong. I think the shock itself is loose.

D'oh!
Went out to work on it this morning and reaslied there was a plastic cap on top of the shock - removed it and it exposed the slot of the allen key.
Sorted now!
