Got myself a problem on our '07 Xpic 2.0 16v Exclusive with auto climate control.
Whatever controls the outlet distribution, it is stuck blowing air from the high level vents only. I cannot get air to the screen.
I've got the lower facia off, and have located the stepper motor that varies the air temperature. That side of things are working fine.
But I cannot suss where the flaps are located that deflect the air to the required location.
What would be ideal is an exploded view of the air handling unit (under the radio), but I have not been able to find any such thing.
Could any of you guys help- vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Ta Muchly.

Re: Picasso climate control air distribution
It will likely be the air mixer motors where the plastic gearing / cogs get worn between the stepper motor gear and the rods onnected to the flaps.

Re: Picasso climate control air distribution
Thanks Marc. It looks like there are 3 of these stepper motors-
And its this parts view that confuses me, because it appears not to show the other motor that controls the hot/cold air mix. On top of that I have not yet been able to catch sight of these items marked 4. Maybe they are higher up and concealed by the upper facia.

Re: Picasso climate control air distribution
As I see it, one motor would be for the external or recycled air option, one would be for the distribution of the air (which vents to use), while the last one would be for the management of the hot or cold levels. That doesn't mean I am right though!
