I did an oil change this week. after i finished i took my van for a run. there was a lack of power and i realised the turbo was not kicking in!
I had sleepness nights and 2 days to figure what was the problem!
I had knocked off a vacuum hose near the oil filter! this controls the turbo boost! phew!!! I thought my turbo was dead!!
Put it back on and all is well! took me hours of research on the web to get to this! not much info out there about it!
Vacuume pump supplies vacuum to brakes, AC, EGR valve, intake manifold, diesel filter/pump and TURBO!! you wont find this info in many other places!! No vacuum= No turbo. hard brake peddle. bad fuel delivery. Bad egr= smoking! etc.etc.etc.
Hope this helps.

Check all your lines for leaks and loose fittings. last resort is your pump is defunct! u can check it with a vacuum gauge.
