c5 hdi 2.2 auto 2005

reversing lights engage and go striegt off again where is the switch looked on gearbox not there is it on the auto shift lever any advice or pics would be a help :rofl2:

The switch is on the gearbox on the lever that the control cable connects to. It is a complicated switch that tells the ECU which ear lever position is selected. I suppose that being a C5, the BSI is also involved in controlling the reversing lights.

is it easy to reset and how can you do it

when you put in reverse they do come on but soon as u let go of the lever they go off again so i think the switch could be out of line somehow

its the mk 11 2,2 hdi auto exclusive facelft not the mk 3 automatic
