C5 rear seat belt mount

Unread post by evilclive »

2003 hatch, ie mk1.

I've carefully forgotten which order to put back the RH seat belt end and the middle seat belt clip - one bolt does both, but does the belt with the plate go under the end of the stalk/clippy bit or on top? Ie bolt head - belt stalk - belt - car or bolt head - belt - belt stalk - car?

If I'd taken a picture of the thing before I unbolted it this would be really easy to answer...

Does this help? Click to zoom the pictures.

The refitting just says remove the bolt (3) and the nut (1)!

That does, thanks very much - looks like bolt head - stalk - belt - car. Ah, interesting, the stalks come out of the front too - I guessed the wrong way round.

Though that picture of the middle belt looks wrong - there's an extra belt drawn which shouldn't be there surely? Belt goes from the bottom, through clip, to reel at top, nothing more. Rather than bottom, to reel, then a second belt from the reel to the clip at the end,
