Xantia - Are Hydraulic seals needed when replacing strut tops

Hi

I about to replace the strut tops. As mine are NFP I have to replace the 3.5mm hydraulic pipework. Citroen dealer in Israel does not have in stock 3.5mm pipe seals ( Citroen part number 96085785 'Hydraulic pipe lining' 3.5mm). Are there 3.5mm pipe seals on the pipes that hooked to the strut top ?

It depends on what you are fitting. Can you give the part numbers of the strut tops and pipes that you are fitting? or if second hand, exactly which model and year of car did they come from?

Hi

As my car's strut tops are NFP ( 5271F5, 5271F6 ) I have to change them to 5271E1 and 5271E4. Since the threading of the new struts are different from the originals I have also to replace the hydraulic pipes that are hooked to the struts. Citroen part number for the new pipes are 5270 96 and 5270 EC.
