CX S2 indicators

Post by Bilkob »

As my Turbo is now in regular service, and I have to say(whisper it...)! running really well, it's obviously got to have a small issue :-D
The left indicator has stopped flashing and the tight is becoming intermittent..... hazards work just fine
Any thoughts? Surely this is a fairly simple one?!

Do none of the bulbs on the left hand side operate? Front, side, rear and dash?
And the same with the right hand side - do all bulbs in the circuit behave the same (intermittent) or do some work OK?
What about when the hazard warning switch is pressed?

If no different in the hazard switch, then it's sounding like the flasher relay (or the connections to it) or an earth fault.

The fact that the hazards are working (assuming no bulbs are blown) would indicate to me most of the relevant circuits are OK. I know the indicator switch is different from that of the Xantia (I had this start playing up on one of my Xanitas), but I would still suggest that the indicator switch is your most likely culprit.

Gotta love Citroens..... it's the indicator toggle switch, I had a spare unit. In which, the headlight paddle doesn't work! :rofl2:

An sorry, I asked him to try the hazard switch... Having missed that he already had
Well yes, then if that was OK, glad my suggestion on the cause was indeed the right one!

Sorted! Combined the two switch pods to make one good. That may well be the most successful and easiest CX repair I've ever done!
