Hi, Just bought an X7 with an rt4 and another thread on this site advised a psa to usb cable part number 6574jh so I can plug in a usb flashdrive.
Had a bit of trouble finding one, is this suitable?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-308- ... SwdDpZcOLE
I also came across a hiccup when loading some music cds onto the jukebox harddrive. It wouldnt load them saying they were genuine cds and copying them would be in breach of copyright?? Very odd as I own these cds and bought them from reputable outlets? Any ideas on how I load up my music when it wont let me?
Any advice is appreciated

Re: Is this the right adaptor?
Hi Bandit
Ok, so regarding the USB - it can't be any old USB harness it needs to be the specific one I linked to 6574 JH. You will need to order this from either the Peugeot or Citroen dealer - just quote them the part number. It is currently priced at £22.97 inc. VAT and will likely be a special order for you.
Next the CD issue. That will likely be a configuration setting. When the RT4 is first configured, there is a setting within Lexia that has to be set to allow the copying of CDs to MP3 format on the hard drive. It looks as though this setting has either been changed or not configured, or can be lost when a system firmware upgrade is undertaken. If you have access to a lexia / Diagbox, let me know and I'll find the section for you in my notes when you are ready - just give me a shout.

Re: Is this the right adaptor?
Bandit - can you advise what version of system software is installed on your RT4? The reason I ask is that only certain configuration options are available within Diagbox from a certain firmware revision.
ONe thing to be careful with here as I've said before there are a lot of options that must be set to default values - even though you may think they are wrong - as this unit is used in other models and the options are applicable to how information is output - so the X7 is different and may display info via another means.
These are the 2 areas I would check, For the Jukebox configuration, these are the correct settings. These are the correct settings for the Display option: Very important: Under the 'Personalisation Menu' Configuration Screen, there are 15 parameter option settings starting with 'Display of the "driver’s seat clearance" option', down to 'Display of the option "audible detection of an obstacle in proximity"'. ALL the options under this section MUST be set to DEACTIVATED. The functions in this section are not handles by the RT4 - they are configured elsewhere - so don't be tempted to change anything in this section.

Re: Is this the right adaptor?
Hi Marc
How do I access the version of firmware? I can confirm the maps are all 2007/2008. As the car is 2009 I suspect these were factory fitted so firmware and all other settings are likely to be too.

Re: Is this the right adaptor?
Yes please Marc. That would be great. How would you send it to me? via compressed email file? do you want any money for it?
Also I have ordered the usb connector mentioned earlier and I should be able to collect it from my local dealer tomorrow.
Many thanks

Re: Is this the right adaptor?
No, firmware updates are free - the dealer usually charge a nominal fee for the CD. I'll give you a link via PM where you can download it. It will require burning to a CD as it will be an ISO file once decompressed. You will have to use a very slow burn speed (no more than 4 X). I'll put the details in the PM.

Check your PM folder there's another few messages there - I've asked EDC5 to also send you one regarding USB enabling with Mirascripts.

Re: Is this the right adaptor?
Hi
Just got one of these leads for my fathers new to him 2008 C5 X7 exclusive, updated the firmware (and maps) to the latest one but the usb lead is still not showing on jukebox, do I need to go in with Diagbox to enable it (I have just bought a new one as my old Lexia packed up ages ago)
I have been in and enabled the daytime running lights (he lives in France) and did have a look around but wasn't sure where (if at all) it would be.
Also will it play from a usb stick or is it for a player to be plugged into?
Thanks
Rob
